Black with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is a mix of pumpkin spice and chocolate. Flavor is pumpkin spice, nutmeg and cinnamon. Rich, dark chocolate with a slightly burnt flavor. Noticeable cinnamon throughout. Thick body, rich mouthfeel. Wife: 4.1

So in the traditional sense of a stout this would rate very low for me because it is very thin and the roasted character that I love so much in my favorite deep dark stouts is nowhere to be found. However this is obviously a spice stout and it is absolutely dominated by nutmeg, clove and cinnamon I love it since Iím a sucker for fall spices. Imagine the exact same spice profile as pumpkins but with a light roasted background to mellow it out some. Not sure which I like better but Pumking and Warlock are both some of the best pumpkin beers Iíve had in a very mediocre and crowded seasonal style.

Pumpkin smell is very strong, sweet chocolate, hint of coffee with a lttle bitterness after the swallow, real mellow taste.

Bomber. Very, very dark brown with garnet highlights and a smallish, fizzy tan head. Aroma of pumpkin pie spices (heavy on the ginger and cinnamon), rich molasses, toasted marshmallow and cola. Ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg spices follow through into the initial flavor, which mellows into toffee, caramel, light cocoa and a slightly boozy and charred wood maltiness. Immediate finish is a quick burst of milk chocolate with underlying nutmeg and a slight char. An interesting amalgam of campfire símores, fresh pumpkin pie (and a small snifter of whisky).

Bottle. Pours dark brown with quickly settling tan head, no lace. Aroma is pumpkin pie, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg. Flavor is pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and spice. The pumpkin and spice overwhelm the stout character. Mild caramelized and toasted malt as it warms. Soft to medium carbonation, medium body, and smooth texture.

Bottle to glass. Pours a dark black with light head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, light chocolate malts, dark chocolate. You can smell the pumpkin and spices. Smells good, but I would like more emphasis on the stout aromas. Taste is dark chocolate and coffee initially transitioning to pumpkin, hints of nutmeg, cloves and slight cinnamon. Palate has a nice warmth of alcohol, thick body and medium carbonation. It was a unique beer, but I donít know if I would drink it again

Bomber. An almost black pour with just a little tan ring. The aroma is pumpkins and those are tasted. Burnt brown sugar and allspice. Big rich malts. Eminently drinkable and alcohol was never tasted. It was definitely felt!
