3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Has that buttery quality of other ST Stouts and Pumking. Spice notes. Cocoa. Pretty solid tasting but doesn’t hold up past a few sips.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
750 ml. bottle. +/- 1/4 th consumed @ “Tim needs to get rid of his ticks” Tasting. Enjoyed together with tderoeck, Benzai & Alengrin. Obtained in a trade with AdamJackson. Pours dark blackish brown, little tanned head. Nose is butter squash, sweet potato, cinnamon, nutmeg, plenty of rice porridge & soy butter, incredible. Taste is rice porridge, nutmeg cacao butter, butter squash, soy butter, cinnamon, sweet, pie crust,…. Awesome, if only it were thicker, (feels a bit thin), I would have given this 4.9. This is even better than Pumking. If this were local, I would drink so much of this.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sampled from bottle @ Tim needs to get rid of his ticks tasting. Dark red-brown color. Aroma reminds me of "speculaas". Taste "speculaas", herbs or spices, a hint of sweet and some bitter, dough, cookie. Don’t like it.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pumpkin spice aroma. Bomber with a bad label. Deep, clear ruby black, not much head. Dry, for the most part. Allspice, dark malts, spice bitterness. Pastry tones at times. Slightly heavy body. Sampled a few mediocre brews tonight and this didn’t break the pattern. ABC Liquors, Betton.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled on 10.11.13.
Poured from a bomber into a tulip on 09.05.14.
A: Pumpkin pie with the crust and all. Brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
A: 2 finger tan head. Midnight black body with some red at the bottom of the glass.
T: Pumpkin pie dominates. Chocolate as a base and a slightly woody back end are subtle.
O: This was very much like Pumking, but a bit heavier in the mouth.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bomber from Wine Warehouse, CHO.
Pours dark brown with a large tan head.
Smells of pumpkin spice, crust, whipped cream, mocha.
Tastes of chocolate, crust, whipped cream, and pumpkin spice.
This is just too much for me. Maybe in a 12-oz bottle I’d have liked it better.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz bottle Poured dark brown with a thin tan head into a snifter. Plenty of pumpkin flavor, maybe too much. Also notes of vanilla and coffee. Much thinner than expected and the pumpkin flavors were too much for my taste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bomber. Pours dark brown almost black with minimal head. Smell is all pumpkin...kind of like carrot cake. Taste follows with dry malty finish. Not bad but too much pumpkin for me.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz bottle from the LCBO, served in a branded stem glass. Pours clear mahogany-chestnut with a moderate tan head that fades slowly and leaves trace fine lace. The nose has huge notes of pumpkin, along with softer ginger and cinnamon; these are paired with subtler chocolate and roasted malt, espresso and English hops. The flavour is intensely spicy throughout, with ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. These flavours are dominant over espresso, chocolate and roasted malts. The finish is long and spicy with ginger and a slight pepperiness. On the palate it is medium in body with a dryish texture and average carbonation. Overall, an interesting imperial stout with a strong pumpkin pie character. For me, the spices are too dominant, effectively masking the other components of the beer. I could see how a bigger fan of pumpkin beers might appreciate this. 2015-01-08

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
22 oz bomber given to me as a gift for Halloween. The pour is black brown with ruby highlights, along with a smallish light tan head. The aroma is ginger, pumpkin pie spice, pretty strong with some licorice present in the finish as well. The taste is chalky, char malt, along with the pumpkin pie spice and a bright cardamon. The finish has some of the licorice and booze. The palate is medium to heavy bodied with active carbonation and big cardamom and pumpkin booze in the finish. Weird beer, not at all my sort of thing.
