COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A West Coast style IPA hopped with Columbus, Centennial, Simcoe, and Citra then dry-hopped with Centennial, Simcoe, and Citra.

The West Side IPA is a huge hop-forward beer inspired by the great IPAs brewed on the West Coast. Pronounced tangerine and resin hop aromas are evident as soon as you pick up the glass, with an assertive bitterness upon tasting. This brew features a light bodied malt character with subtle bready notes, but the real star of the show is the massive hop flavor and aroma. Complex citrus, resinous pine notes, and floral tones round out the wonderful aroma that makes this beer so enjoyable.

Growler shipped my way from my beer-o-claus, markwise. Thanks Mark. The growler pours with a somewhat opaque deep copper body (hope haze I hope) with gold hues and supporting a full near white head of foam that leaves behind sheet lacing. The aroma offers up a mix of mango and pine hops and then it gets into a mild buttery diacetyl like sensation. The taste is similar with resiny pine hops ringed with butterscotch and mango like fruitiness. Decent enough with plenty of hop bitterness but whatever that is that seems diacetyl is taking away from the experience.

Pretty solid offering overall. Nice body and mouthfeel. Aroma is hop forward, crisp clean and citrusy. Flavor is definitely hop forward, but has a medium malt backing. Grapefruit and mild biscuit with resin and pine notes all around. I dig it.

Hazy tangerine hue with a thin white cap. Nose has some bitter but juicy tropical tones of tangerine and melon and piney mango. Taste is bitter with a strong hoppy semi-tropical start with a nice sweet floral tone, some sweet pseudo caramel tones, and a delightful medium bitter floral-sweet finish.

On draft at Southern, poured an amberish orange color with aromas of pine and feint citrus. Flacours are pine, citrus, light fruit and a toich of bitterness, a solid IPA that weighs in at 8.6%, extremly drinkable, dangerous.

On draft at Southern. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is huge citrus, pine, and floral hops with some tropical fruit, and some mild caramel. Flavor is similar- a hop punch. Big bitter citrus and tropical fruit abound with some piney pieces. Medium in body, big in flavor, and huge in taste.
