Unholy_Brewing (286), Melbourne, Australia Jun 29, 2008 ...bottle. I was surprised with this beer. Nice tan head, with lacing that lasts. Hard roasted malt notes, low bitterness, and a dry dark fruit\coffee finish. I just picked this up to try a new brew, and it was worth it. True to the style, not too heavy, and masks the alcohol well. Decent stout. gam (515), brisbane, Australia May 25, 2008 Thick brown bubbly head on a dark stout, good carbonation.Aroma chocolate, very nice note, caramel, malty aroma, milk, vanilla note.Flavour superb caramel and chocolate malt tastes lovely, mild bitter roasted tastes, yeasty, great on the palate, moccha like flavour. This is the flavour I,ve been looking for in a stout of this type, one sip after another, great stuff.Finish cream malt tasting chocolate, bitter tang on the buds,a stout to really enjoy. Roasted malts and coffee dominate with a slight nose of chocolate and licorice also coming through. Light roasted flavour of malts and chocolate with a roasted bitter finish. A fine stout.
