COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A cloudy ale which is an excellent accompaniment to meat dishes such as beef, lamb and mutton.

Draught at Holdfast Hotel, Adelaide. Clear golden with a flat white head that disappeared. Aroma and flavour of grain, adjuncts and vegetal notes. It’s bland all round. Really bad.

Horrible. I found myself in a pub where this was on tap instead of Coopers, so I gave it a try. Even more pale looking then Coopers Pale. Smelled OK, but the taste... horrible! Fairly smooth, kind of milky mouth feel, but there’s a very strange grassy flavour lurking underneath, which grew stronger and more retch inducing as I continued drinking. Disgusting. However my idiocy got the better of me and I kept drinking it, and as I got more drunk it began to taste quite good. The next morning though, hangover from HELL. Crook stomach, headache and sweating. Fuck this shithouse pretender to the throne, if you want Pale Ale stick with Coopers. Garbage.

Draught. A cloudy gold with a filmy head. No aroma at all. Thin, some floral flavours. Not much going on, a touch of citrus in the finish.

Cloudy pale straw body with white head. Nothing first up but some lemon and yeast characters on the finish - not very memorable.

On tap at Holfast hotel. Extremly hazy yellow colour with small white head. Another, yet again. Aussie macro, no flavour no real attempte to be a pale ale. Just trying to compete against Coopers Pale Ale.

Loads of yeast in the glass, head not that great, pale colour. Lightly sweet, lightly tart, some lemon-lime flavours, reasonably fresh malt character, but not all that exciting, though the interplay of the pale malt and lime is pretty good. A reasonable attempt at a Coopers Pale Ale clone/competitor but obviously I think they could have loftier goals.

Amber-Golden in colour with a decent sized head. Very bland and low on flavour considering the sweetish, floral aroma. Disappointing.

Even though its not the same style I would compare this to a VB or Tooheys more than anything else, and it is better than those.
