Commercial Description:
Hints of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt gives this beer its substantial flavor. Chinook Hops give a balancing bitterness to this beer.

Pours black with a thick tan head. Light chocolate aroma. More chocolate in the taste with a little coffee. Quite thin. Needs some body badly.

Dark-brown to black with some amber tones. Tan head was thick, foamy, and persistent. Chocolate and faint smoke aroma. Mouthfeel was thin (for a stout), silky, and airy. It was almost hard to feel this one going down. Dry, with some chocolate and weak coffee flavors. Some hops in the finish. Unlike the elite stouts, the aftertaste was nothing to get jazzed about.
