Dry Stout beer style, black, notes of caramel, roasted aroma and with a nostalgic flavor combination of coffee, chocolate and black barley. Final proof crisp, dry and with a subtle bitterness. The Stout is a beer soft, medium bodied gives it a unique character.

750ml swing-top bottle from Baptista Supermarket, Luz, Portugal. Very dark brown-black in colour with ruby red highlights and a thick head of white foam. It has a rich chocolate and tart red fruity flavour, roasted coffee notes with a smooth, warming sherry-like finish. Very nice.

28.5cl draft from tap (1/2 pint) at Cerveteca Lisboa in Lisboa (Portugal), shared with my girlfriend. This Sovina Stout is a true classic. A black, pitch dark brew with a gushy beige collar. The aromas definitely hint at roasted malts, hazelnut and coffee. The taste is likewise, with overwhelming coffee notes and a dry - not super dry, though outstanding - bitter ending. The mouth combines modest yet balanced tastes, making this an easy drinker, while the palate counts for a light to medium body. Truly refreshing, this wellknown Portuguese craft stout.

Dark red-brown light hazy colour with a small tan head. Aromas of bread, roasted malts, toast are dominating. Lightly carbonated with a slick texture and a medium body this beer offers a short bready sweetness with some roast bitterness. Light dry finish. Drinkable.

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with huge copper head. Nose is on dark malt, dark coffee, dry like. Aroma is on dark malt, dark chocolate, dry, body is unfortunately low, malty side is correct, the rest is thin.

Huge brownish head, could have been the way the bottle was conditioned. Dark brown colour, clean. Roasted malts, coffee and wood in the nose. A bit sour in the taste, roasted malts. You can feel the hops, which is a nice thing for a stout. Light body, low on carbonation, but again...

0,3l Flasche. Dunkelbraunes Bier mit beiger Schaumkrone. Riecht leicht fruchtig, Geschmack nach Röstmalzen, zuviel Kohlensäure!
