Huge brownish head, could have been the way the bottle was conditioned. Dark brown colour, clean. Roasted malts, coffee and wood in the nose. A bit sour in the taste, roasted malts. You can feel the hops, which is a nice thing for a stout. Light body, low on carbonation, but again...

Tasted at Medrosa d’Alfama, Lisbon, Portugal. Poured an opaque black with a slight mahogany edge tint and a few light tan bubbles for a collar that didn’t lace. Carbonation low and fine. Aroma subtly of roasted grain with a hint of coffee. Taste of moderate roasted grain, some coffee and with moderate bitterness. Medium body. Smooth with a lingering soft moderate strength bitterness. Nice.

Thanks to erzengel! An enormous gusher...half of the bottle ended up on the table. Pours a dark muddy brown with a huge, tan head. The smell is fruity and tart with dark malt. The taste is dry, chocolate, roasted malt, some fruit ending super dry and a touch bitter. Light bodies with overactive carbonation.

33cl bottle drink at home. It pours a dark brown colour with a very large but quickly dissipating beige head. Aroma is just roasted coffee and malts. Taste is roasted coffee, some raisins and dark fruits and toasted bread. It has a light body with low carbonation and a dry finish. It’s overall a very mediocre beer with a somewhat watery taste, but I can say that it still have some character.

Bottle from Algarve and Friends, Alvor. Dark red, fluffy head. Light body, some roasted grain, coffee. Very modest, I could have said watery. Try their other beers first.
