3fourths (8879) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 2, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 24, 2015 Bottle best by April 2014.
Juicy, expressive lemon / herb Spalter hops with baked sourdough Pilsner malt.
Semi-sweet, hoppy and relatively bitter, closer to Pilsner than Helles typically are.
Medium-light body, mineral water, mild potato starch notes.
Clean presentation, a little too course / husky, but nicely hoppy.
After finding a ton of diacetyl in their Pils at the Nürnberg Bierfest in May I’m happy to find this one in good shape. (3.9)

Retry November 2015, the aroma has notes of fabric and soap, not really showing much malt or hop authenticity. Still it’s clean in the mouth, fluffy and creamy, but not the near-4.0 experience from two years ago. (3.3)

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Bottle, from trade with Maria. It pours a clear, pale golden body and a nice, white head leaving lacings. The aroma has some fruityness, and a good dash of pale malts mash. It has a distinct flavor of cooked vegetables, along with a nice grassy and piney bitterness and some pale malts. Medium body, quite dry. A quite decent beer, tasteful, quenching and pleasant, but there’s a touch of dms I don’t appreciate. 110722
