2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 11, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Untill April 2005 called "Spalter Vollbier-Hell". Pale golden with a small head. The locals really hype their Spalter hops, but in my experience they add more bitterness than aroma and aren’t really that refined. This lacks the normal round maltynes associated with the style and comes out more like a typical bitter German pils. 060602
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Geiserich (2559) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - APR 8, 2005
Bottled
Light aromatic hop aroma. Pale golden, frothy white head, lively carbonation. Grainy start, the hoppier but all in all few spalt flavor. A bit watery, too. Dry bitter finish.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 jonas (5041) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - APR 4, 2005
Bottle
Pale golden, creamy lacing white head, low carbonation.
Delicate bready aroma with a whiff aromatic hops.
Grainy yet thinnish malt base with a bit spalter on top - I would have preferred a more noticable amount in the middle. Dry bitter finish.
