Bottle marked 04.10.12. Lightly grassy nose, light malt leaning toward corn. Very pale clear yellow body with lots of carbonation and a soapy bright white head. Taste is only lightly sweet with light bitterness but some juicy noble hops. Dries out and picks up some metal with time, faint bread, light body, a little different than most German Pilsner, and worth a go.

Bottled. A good example of a dryish franconian pils - light golden with a hint of the longed-for greenish tinge; prickly aroma; a decent whack of bitterness, both grassy and tinny. Very easy to drink

Draft in Nürnberg. Drinks like any of hundreds of anonymous German pilsners -- it’s not noteworthy necessarily, but cleanly and technically well made, and good enough that I had a few and enjoyed them thoroughly with my big plates of salty German food. (#4382, 12/1/2011)

Bottle, from trade with Maria. A clear, golden beer with a dense, finger-thick white head leaving some lacings. It’s a bit sweetish on the nose, with pale malts and some piney, grassy hops. Cooked vegetables too. A bit sweet on the palate, medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Malty flavor with a solid dose of dms. Decent bitterness in the end. Well, it’s not all bad, leave the dms outside and it’s a decent beer, although too sweet. 110722

Maria (9963) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 17, 2011
It’s golden with a huge, creamy, lasting, white head. The aroma is mild with notes of malt, bread and flower. The flavour has a light sweetness and a light, dry bitterness and notes of malt, straw, flower and light bread, and the finish is bone-dry with a light bitterness.
