A very delicious and hoppy pils. This is just brimming with that sweet, herbal, bitter, citrusy hoppy goodness.

Something about a nice pilsner in The Motherland when you are starting to crave an IPA. It falls short but is clean and sharp and has a bite. This poured golden with a clear body and a lovely white rocky fluffy head, about as pretty as they get. Aroma of cereal and faint grass. Flavor followed with no cloying aspects. Dry finish with a nice body and refreshing. This brewer is solid. I should have been rating all their beers I’ve been drinking the last year.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2014 Flasche von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Helles Goldgelb, klar. Antrunk schlank, feiner grasiger Hopfen. Ganz zarte Malzsüße im Hintergrund. Im Abgang sehr trocken. Sehr bitterer Nachtrunk.

Test vom 8.3.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,12,12,10,12 - 11,75

Bottled. A good example of a dryish franconian pils - light golden with a hint of the longed-for greenish tinge; prickly aroma; a decent whack of bitterness, both grassy and tinny. Very easy to drink

bottle from Bierzwerg. Pale golden yellow colour, large white head. Hoppy nose. Light-bodied with a solid malty base, good aromatic hops with a herbal touch dominate. Very nice indeed.

Bottle. Pale golden to golden, small, but persistent foamy white layer. Delicate to moderate pale-malty nose with a good dash of aromatic hops. Moderate to robust dryish bitter flavour, light bodied, quite soft MF. Lingering dry aromatic hoppy finish. Pleasant, semi-bohemian Pils..........

Bottle 500ml.

Clear light to medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, toasted, fruity, light moderate hoppy, fresh grass, citrus. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20100615]

culchiem (2570) - Berlin, GERMANY - FEB 2, 2011
Bottle. Fine looking pils, medium gold with a good laced head. Aroma of malt and gentle hop. Nice sharp hop flavour with a malt finish. Palate turns from sweet to bitter, interesting. Really good pils, probably the best I have had.

Braudog (5832) - Glenville, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 10, 2011
Draft in Nürnberg. Drinks like any of hundreds of anonymous German pilsners -- it’s not noteworthy necessarily, but cleanly and technically well made, and good enough that I had a few and enjoyed them thoroughly with my big plates of salty German food. (#4382, 12/1/2011)
