2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Patrickctenchi (1677) - columbus, Indiana, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Clear, deep red-amber with a short tan cap.
Scent is sharp caramel.
Taste is caramel over a slight, vague bitter...
Tea-like with a bit of maltiness.
Average, at best.
1.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 Stevedam (3) - Stuyvesant, New York, USA - SEP 29, 2012 does not count
From bottle. Too much carbonation. Very hard to drink. Had to dump it. Disappointed as I wanted to try this dark beer. Beer actually had foam coming out of the bottle while it sat on a table. Weird.

Nice dark amber color pour wih a samll head. Decent brew but nothing spectacular in any phase. I might give this one another chance as I only had one bottle. Not the best...not the worst.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TheBrewSherpa (269) - Belvidere, New Jersey, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Poured from 12 ounce bottle into pint glass
A: Amber in color with big tan head and bubbles through out
S: Sweet caramel malt and floral hops
T: Initially crisp then caramel malts and then a hoppy finish that sticks around
M: Medium body with heavy carbonation
O: Nothing really stands out as exceptional, but it would be a good session beer.
Decent beer. I don’t know if anything about it really stands out to me, but it is one that would be a good session beer for most folks.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JCB (3798) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUL 8, 2012
A standard cheap six-pack in the midwest with slightly more character than, say, Michelob Amber. A bit of an unfair comparison since this beer is more flavorful and "crafty" than your usual gas station and supermarket brew, but that’s more or less the level at which to set expectations for a generic, malty but decently lively brew.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BucannonXC5 (567) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 22, 2012
Poured from a bottle into a smaller class at the Courtyard Marriott in Culver City, Calif. About 1 ½ fingers of head. Color was a beautiful reddish brown, maybe mahogany. Good-looking film on the sides. Healthy and long lasting.
Smelled dark chocolate up front. Also some toffee malts, caramel and a little biscuit. Seemed pretty fake.
Initially tasted butter, which drops each time I have it. Where did it come from? Some chocolate and caramel in there as well.
Medium body. Average carbonation. Creamy texture. Smooth finish.
Pretty average beer. Stay away.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Tessic (746) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 7, 2012
This ale poured a dark amber colour with a lacking, white head. To the nose there are scents of spruce, pine and citrus. First sip was slightly over-carbonated with strong flavours of hops. Citrus an floral hops most prodominant. Finish is bitter with spruce flavour lingering.
