2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 IrishBoy (3618) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JUL 1, 2012
Bomber from Country Club Liquors. Nose is a little pine and citrus but not really all that hoppy. Lightly hazy copper orange with a big cream head. Flavor is bitter and pine with a small bit of diacetyl. The buttery background flavor really detracts.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 nearbeer (3048) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 1, 2012
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2012 22 oz. Clear orange-copper with a lasting topping of creamy foam. Aromas of earthy herbal resin, waxy citrus, caramel and musty grape. Taste is big herbals and resin, husky caramelized grain, toast, citrus and wood pith. Near-medium body is a little too frothy and is well dried by the rough-sawn lumber finish. The choppy finish, plus the large medicinal-herbal taint make this one come off as unpolished and boozy, even at only 7%. Nice potential, but really kind of a mess.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Suttree (4452) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 29, 2012
Brownish copper, huge white head. Smells sweet, like caramel and toffee, with some woody notes. Flavor is also pretty sweet, and woody hops. It hides it’s ABV well, seems more like 5%. Will probably get again.

22 oz bomber. Good beer but notice some buttery off flavors and aromas (I think). Nice hop profile with a toastey finish. Wondering if this guy has a big brother...
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ibrew2or3 (5777) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAY 20, 2012
22oz bomber pours up copper with slight haze and quarter inch tan head. The modest aroma offers up some earthy and spicy hops with notes of pine hops and eucalyptus leaves in the background. The taste has bitter spicy and pine hop notes rimmed with a bit of rough booze and a dash of citrus like sweet hard candy. It seems to want to be a bold and rough IIPA but lacks the depth and richness to get there. Underneath all the resiny hops is a note of two of sweet dark fruity esters.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 decaturstevo (4080) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAY 13, 2012
Orange pour with white head. Medium citrus hops a touch like orange zest. Decent sweet malt start with a decent resiny bitter finish. Some light bread notes. Medium body with decent carbonation.
3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 rangerred (662) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - MAY 10, 2012
Poured into a pint glass from a 22oz bomber. No freshness date.
Pours a slightly hazy medium copper with a thick 1.5 finger head. Excellent head retention and lacing.
I’m not really picking up much of a smell at all. Some caramel and roasted malt along with a little bit of earthy hops.
The taste is really quite malty with a lot more malt than hops. Lots of caramel and toffee along with a bit of roast. The hops are definitely on the earthy side with a little bit of pine thrown in. Some bread makes another appearance towards the finish. Moderate bitterness along with a fairly full mouthfeel.
As an American IPA, this really doesn’t cut it. However I do believe it is a fairly decent English IPA. The maltiness along with the downplayed, earthy hops are definitely English. Overall a tasty brew I’m glad I tried.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BroSpud (1359) - , Massachusetts, USA - APR 8, 2012
Bomber. Pours medium amber with a tan head. Decent example of the IPA style though this one is heavier on the malt than on the hops. Still the hops do come through and this is a great beer for the price.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 nick76 (4077) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 31, 2012
The aroma is nice with hops, butter, and caramel malt. The appearance is amber with a nice head. The taste is like the aroma but not very flavorful. The palate is average. Overall an average beer and not a private reserve.

its got a nice mellow flavor with a touch of herbal quality. despite the name, the hops don’t have a strong "bite" to them, still its good for what it is.
