Editor’s Note:Production moved to Glacier Brewing in Polson, MT in 2005, continued together with Flying Dog in Colorado as well in 2006. Entire production moved to City Brwery in WI in the summer of 2007. In 2009 the production was moved to Olde Saratoga in NY and Butte Creek in CA.

Amber in color, small head that faded quickly and left little behind. The aroma is that of sweet malt and honey, and mild raspberry.Malty taste with a hint of mustard at the beginning but later fades to mild honey and raspberry.the after taste is mostly sweet and very raspberry like with the honey fading to nothingness quite quickly. Not a bad brew at all but the beginning taste has me confused a bit,it just tastes to much like mustard on a hot dog to me.Hard to explain but i'd have to say this is a very diffrent brew. Not bad at all and probably diffrent for others but it's not that great IMO.

Ruby-copper, hayzy, thin off-white head. Aroma is fruity, with candi-sweet raspberry. Flavor is initially grainy and relatively dry, followed by a hint of fruity sweetness and a raspberry character that is more earthy and natural than it is in the aroma. Finishes dry and slightly tannic.

Pours hazy brown amber with a tan cap. Scent is malt, faint raspberry. Taste is honey, bread,....with, again, a faint raspberry note. Sweet malt, caramel... Not overly fruited....more of a brown or amber ale with fruit accents. Not bad.

Reviewed 12/03/2012. Because I need to lower my average, 12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. I’m not sure how old the bottle is, but I got it on clearance, so... A: Pours a moderately hazy tawny color. Great head on this one, a two finger offwhite shade with fantastic texture. Retention isn’t great, but lacing is stunning. S: Raspberry candy. Tons of general sweetness with an artificial ’kick’ to it as expected. A hint of wheat malt tries to come through, and almost does. T: Fruity sweetness to start, before rounding out to a nondescript wheat finish. The chemical character is a bit pervasive in general. Still, it manages to be extremely bland instead of actively offensive. Congrats, I suppose? M: Not as carbonated as I anticipated, but it goes down easily enough. Still, the chemical astringency on the finish needs to go. O: Meh.

Bottle @ home. Pours a hazy, brownish orange appearance with cream colored head. Very sweet, ripe raspberry, light cranberry, effervescent aroma. Tangy honey, quite sweet raspberry soda, a touch bready flavor. Somewhat cloying and quite effervescent.

Aroma is pretty straight forward (honey and raspberry). Amber-golden in color. Sweet but refreshingly fruit (raspberry of course). Notes: GABF ’09

12-oz bottle at Stiffler’s. Pours mirky amber-brown with pretty sizeable off-white head and noticeable sediment. Smells fruity - raspberry and tartness. Palate is more balanced and less fruit, though there are tart raspberry notes that don’t overwhelm or dominate. Hop and malt profiles compliment the fruit without vying for domination. Well-balanced fruit beer, but everything taking a back seat kind of leaves a void where there should be a single characteristic taking charge.

Clear amber gold with a modest head and decent lace. Sharp raspberry aroma above the caramel malt. Flavors are similar, dominated by a tart raspberry with modest malt and hops in the background.

Has a sweet berry aroma, and pours with a nice amber color and very little head. It tastes of mild berry and caramel.
