ultraspank (856), Dublin, Ohio, USA Mar 4, 2008 Strong fruity nose of raspberry. Pours a sparkling copper. The mostly diminishing off white frothy head leaves light lace. The brew starts well balanced, the middle has a pronounced acidity, the finish is sweet and heavy on the raspberry flavor. The light to medium creamy body is lively. The finish feels slightly cloying.
ChainGangGuy (1511), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Aug 20, 2008 Appearance: Pours an amber body with a quickly dieing, white head.
Smell: Straight-up scent of raspberry-flavored cough syrup. Ugh. Look ashamed, Spanish Peaks Mascot Dog!
Taste: Pale malts with a caramel sweetness and a hint of toothsome honey. Then BANG it’s the slighty off-putting raspberry taste. Citrusy, earthy hops with a medium bitterness. The hops can scrub away the sweetness, but can’t manage to loosen that gacky raspberry flavoring from my tongue. Sip of Perrier. Drying, faux raspberry finish.
Mouthfeel: Just barely medium-bodied. Just barely above medium carbonation.
Drinkability: I would’ve much preferred the base beer minus the natural raspberry flavoring. Whaddya say, Spanish Peaks? Think we can swing that? Steinface (63), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 16, 2008 This stuff is great. It was very much like iced tea, but there was no wateriness, a nice full brew. Headbanger (958), Aurora, Illinois, USA Aug 8, 2008 12oz bottle(Brewed Lacrosse, WI on label)-Pours a hazyamber with a small ring for a head and an aroma of raspberry and honey. Taste of raspberry, tartness, and a dryness and bitterness on the back end. This light bodied brew is not bad but I wish the raspberry was a bit more real tasting. stchloe (96), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 4, 2008 I am just a sucker for these beers. A great light beer base where the honey compliments the raspberry. badgerben (3043), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jul 28, 2008 Courtesy of Law_Student09. Copper color with no head. Light raspberry aroma. Sickly sweet rapsberry taste. Tastes like a bad fruit extract.
