3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A unique, sweet flavored beer. Very much worth a try. Nothing to scream about, but it does stand out from more ítraditionalí tasting beers.

Pours brownish red. Thick head with a chemically fruity aroma. Donít know about the honey, but the raspberry is pretty apparent.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It has a deep amber colored body with good clarity, visible carbonation and a light tan head. The head is very light and soapy. It very quickly fades down to just a very thin wispy layer. Lacing is minimal and slick. The aroma hit me with a light waft of raspberry candy as I opened the bottle. In the glass and with a proper inspection I get the same raspberry candy but with notes of honey and biscuit like malt. The flavor is very much the same as the aroma. It has a light body with a sweet malty character. There are notes of sweet honey and sweet/tart raspberry with hop flavor way off in the distance. The hop flavor just kind of picks up on the tartness of the berry and adds a very mellow subdued bitterness to the finish. Its palate feels light and silky with light somewhat fizzy carbonation.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Light orange, average off white head. Aroma of perfumey raspberry, light caramel. Flavour is raspberry, more candyish than perfumey, with sweet underlying malts. Not bad, but I prefer a raspberry character that is more tart and stemmy, which I think is hard to achieve with honey.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Plenty of natural-tasting raspberry but I didnít notice any honey. Almost cloyingly sweet and a bit syrupy.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle pours dark amber with tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of raspberries. Flavor is tart raspberry with light honey and breaded malts. A very light and rather refreshing lambic style ale. I rated this by comparing it to other beers in its style. Some of the low ratings of this ale may be due to comparing it with all ales rather than comparing it with other fruit beers.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Ruby-copper, hayzy, thin off-white head. Aroma is fruity, with candi-sweet raspberry. Flavor is initially grainy and relatively dry, followed by a hint of fruity sweetness and a raspberry character that is more earthy and natural than it is in the aroma. Finishes dry and slightly tannic.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy brown amber with a tan cap.
Scent is malt, faint raspberry.
Taste is honey, bread,....with, again, a faint raspberry note.
Sweet malt, caramel...
Not overly fruited....more of a brown or amber ale with fruit accents.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Reviewed 12/03/2012. Because I need to lower my average, 12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Iím not sure how old the bottle is, but I got it on clearance, so...
A: Pours a moderately hazy tawny color. Great head on this one, a two finger offwhite shade with fantastic texture. Retention isnít great, but lacing is stunning.
S: Raspberry candy. Tons of general sweetness with an artificial íkickí to it as expected. A hint of wheat malt tries to come through, and almost does.
T: Fruity sweetness to start, before rounding out to a nondescript wheat finish. The chemical character is a bit pervasive in general. Still, it manages to be extremely bland instead of actively offensive. Congrats, I suppose?
M: Not as carbonated as I anticipated, but it goes down easily enough. Still, the chemical astringency on the finish needs to go.
