CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jun 25, 2005 Pours a clear, lightly sparkling golden with a lightly-lacing white head. Aroma is earthy and somewhat musty with some sweet caramely maltiness. Body starts rich and sweet with good German lager yeastiness and a nice noble hoppy bitter balance. Many thanks to JPDIPSO for sharing this from his keg! BückDich (4559), Boise, Idaho, USA Jan 30, 2004 On-tap at Flying Pie in Boise, ID Pale yellow color, very clear & filtered. The head is light and fizzy, dissipates quickly. The aroma is lightly sweet with a touch of apricot & raspberry. The malt profile is clean & fresh. The flavor is well balanced with a crisp hoppiness and mild pils malt. Finishes medium bodied for such a light color. Dry & sticky feeling on the palate aftwerwards, light acidicty. A good light bock, only on tap in the US maybe? tasty! Cornfield (4343), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Apr 29, 2005 On tap at the Tree - Pale golden color with a thick white head, this has a rich, sweet malt aroma. It’s almost chewy malty, tasting like fresh dough with hints of fruitiness. Nice clean yet sweet finish. All around good bock. JPDIPSO (4286), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Apr 25, 2004 Tap. Bockbierfest -Wauwatosa. Deep golden color with a dense cream colored head. Sweet cookie and floral aromas. Smooth thick feel. thick rich malt flavors with a sweeter floral hops balance. Seems to need a touch more dry bitterness to balance the malt but I am more of a malthead.
