zappafan99 (463) - ASCENSION ISLAND - APR 10, 2009
Taste 4/9 bottle. Looks: Clear dark red/grown. Aroma: Brown sugar and grain. Taste: Nutty, sweaty and sweet to start (like optimator) with a drying(not dry) finish. Worth a drink every once in a while.

Aurelius (4107) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 3, 2009
Soft, clean, brown malt aroma, a little on the cereal side. Clear brown beer, with a big, fluffy light tan head which will suddenly deflate. Appearance ding for the green bottle and the pedestrian label. Cereal tones, moderate bittering, mildly sweet, muted roastiness. Aftertaste is dry and roasty. Decent session brew. Medium body. MSL

urbnhautebourg (997) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - APR 1, 2009
A little too basic. I wish there could be some flavor notes of interest here, but there simply are not. As it stands, it is acceptable, but brewers with Spaten’s resources should be able to do something more interesting with this interesting style.

Green-glassed and this brew’s 10th rating, here in the USA. Dark caramel and chocolate fizz, sticky malty aroma. Mahogany-walnut pour with a short beige head. Lightly acidic, strongly carbonated, some brown sugar and faded taste, touch of toffee in with the caramel, nuts and light roast as well. Lightish-medium body. Already forgotten.
