3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours brown mahogany with a creamy tan head. Nose is malt and hops. Nicely carbonated and creamy on the palate. Taste is nuts, bread, malt, slight touch of hops with an overall slightly sour taste.. A superb companion to beer nuts or a variety of deli sandwiches.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Spaten München Dunkel has a thick, lively beige head, a clear, bubbly reddish-brown appearance, and lots of splotchy lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet brown bread, and the flavor is the same with some slight caramel, wine, and hop notes. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium, and Spaten München Dunkel finishes semi-dry, crisp, refreshing, and highly drinkable. Overall, this is a most excellent beer. RJT

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Dark brown, red pour. Fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Highly carbonated, too much for my taste. Nothing fancy, but an ok beer. I do enjoy the malt flavor profile.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear light brown with a light kaki head. Malty aroma with roast & toffee. A little musty. Medium-bodied, with some carbonation to cut the malt, lingering malty finish. Malty sweet from start to finish with a touch of grass and bitterness at the finish. A nice fall/winter brew. Easy to drink with enough to ponder and bring you back.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
It holds a very airy, tall head for a short while, which then fades to nothingness. Its color is cola-like, dark-brown with reddish hues throughout... mostly clear, with opaqueness only thanks to the color.
Its aroma is mostly sweet, reminiscent of an Oktoberfest, with hints of meaty, loaded caramel malts. In the mouth... way too light, watery, practically flavorless with the exception of a small amount of high-lovibond caramel malts that almost give it a slightly roasted finish. This is so easy to drink that it’s too easy to drink. It’s good if you’re looking for a very uncharacteristic beer that isn’t awkward.
