This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

Pale golden colour. Intense hoppy aroma. Slightly malty taste with a hopbitter finish. Rather on the hoppy side of Helles. Slightly creamy texture, and somewhat smooth mouthfeel. Decent Helles.

Great cleansing lager. Not too exciting but it is a Hell and it’s mean’t to be like that. Slightly on the sweet side of the malt / hop balance. Good extremely clean beer.

Poured a rather light gold with a substantial white head. Aroma was light, but crisply hopped and slightly skunky. Flavor was likewise very light, with a very refreshing blend of moderate hop bitterness and a sort of apple-like malt sweetness. Light but quenching on the palate. A good all-around lager, but not a favorite.

This beer was great after the first gulp but then quickly became below average. There are many lagers that are much better then this.

crisp. Unoffensive easy drink. Spot of citrus lemon, refreshing. Malts so somewhat sweet and leads to bitterness in aftertaste. Better with stronger carbonation, have it on tap.

tap at the bavarian. sparkling golden with a fluffy fat white head. grainy aroma, grainy taste. butterscotch and caramel with a balance of bitterness. green tasting very raw flavors not necessarily in a bad way, but not in a good one.

Bottled-A very light beer that tasted pretty bland to me. The last sip out of any bottle I’ve had always tastes very stale.

On tap- Pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma was sweetly malted. It’s a sweet grainy flavored lager with a little bit of hop. Fairly watery but decent.

Bottled. Pale gold yellow beer with thinnish head. Flatter sweet lager, some hops but a flabby malt. Flavour dissappears on the finish, which is as well I suppose.

Bottle. Sweet, yet strong, hoppy aroma. Thin white head. Pale straw-gold color. Flavor is lightly hoppy, with a strong bitter bite at the end and aftertaste. Carbonation is quite strong.
