COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

ARH (562) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 26, 2014
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2014 12 oz bottle poured into a shaker. The aroma starts out with a prevalent banana and clove note, which fades and is replaced by something more yeast-like, maybe toasted bread too. As the drink settles, a slight mildew and wet leather start to come through. The beer is a clear, pale straw color with a light, bubbly head that reduces to a thin, but present, layer and leaves a light lacing. The taste is a medium high sweetness with a light bitterness. It’s a light bodied beer with a creamy and smooth texture and a light, fuzzy carbonation. The initial flavors that strike the tongue are honey, and caramel, both with a mellow presence. This is accompanied by a light grass note, a mild, sweet lemon, and a very faint spice. The finish is crisp, with a mellow spicy hop bite. The aftertaste is floral, bread, and spice, but it’s a light aftertaste the fades at a moderate pace.

Ladna piana, czysty profil, brak goryczki, aromaty i smaki slodowe, wrecz miodowe momentami. Nie moja bajka, ale zarazem krzywdy na pewno nikomu to piwo nie zrobilo

pours a clear straw yellow with a quickly dissipating bubbly white head. Aroma is classic Euro lager grass and skunk. Taste is bright and then sweet. Well balanced. Modest hop presence with a pleasant finish. Not a bad beer. Similar to Beck’s or Grolsch.

500ml bottle. Pours straw colour with a small white head that fizzes away in seconds. Aroma is grass and malts. Sweet taste with a slightly bitter finish. I had wanted to try this for a long time, but it turned out to be quite a boring beer really.

Very pale. Moderate aroma, light sweet malts, bit of white bread like. Uninteresting. Taste is better, very smooth and easy drinkable. Not bitter enough for me though. (50cl bottle from V&B Tours)

Bottle. A: Translucent gold with a big foamy head which settles into a fluff. Picture worthy. N: Corn, grist, earth, sweet biscuit, herbaceousness, T: Sweet, watery, clean. M: Very light, fuzzy carbonation, no alcohol. O: Boring and yet tasty and reminiscent of past days. I love the easy drinking lyfe.

Bottle as premium lager from Jusco on sale at 250 yen (best before 12/2014). Upon opening and serving in a lager glass it pour a very pale gold with a thin soapy white head. Alas it was lightstruck with one of the skunkiest aromas I’ve smelled in awhile(why do they use green bottles?), once you get past that you get a grainy sweet pale malt aroma with possibly a hint of residual hoppiness. On the palate it is light, sharp and crisp with a dry finish. The taste is dusty dry crackers, a bit of sweetness then a bitter skunky finish with somewhat of a sour aftertaste. It’s obviously gone off but I am guessing fresh on a hot day it would be a passable lager(probable 3-3.1).
