COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

ARH (1106) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 26, 2014
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2014 12 oz bottle poured into a shaker. The aroma starts out with a prevalent banana and clove note, which fades and is replaced by something more yeast-like, maybe toasted bread too. As the drink settles, a slight mildew and wet leather start to come through. The beer is a clear, pale straw color with a light, bubbly head that reduces to a thin, but present, layer and leaves a light lacing. The taste is a medium high sweetness with a light bitterness. It’s a light bodied beer with a creamy and smooth texture and a light, fuzzy carbonation. The initial flavors that strike the tongue are honey, and caramel, both with a mellow presence. This is accompanied by a light grass note, a mild, sweet lemon, and a very faint spice. The finish is crisp, with a mellow spicy hop bite. The aftertaste is floral, bread, and spice, but it’s a light aftertaste the fades at a moderate pace.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Crystal clear pale yellow with a 3-finger an off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of grain, grass, mild floral notes and a little lemon. Taste of grain, mild citrus and a touch of grass. Medium/light body and medium/low carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg @ Victorian Craft Beer Café, Halifax. Carbonated golden lager with a thin head. Clearly continental with its German malt and maltiness.

A very light and crispy beer from tap at Spaten brau Haus in München. Citric notes very discretely on nose and in taste. Palate classic short. Refreshing beer.

Brown/Tan bottle, 500ml. Pours pale golden yellow with a thin white head subsiding quickly. Scent is light lager and a tiny bit of flowers. Taste is light lager and very plain and watery. Finish is a little dry and otherwise no unsavory properties. Good.

Sampled @ Starkbierzeit 2016. My cream jelleg, viszont ami a borsodit dicséri: a licensz alapján elég jól sikerült másolni.

A beer that has an ambiguous side to it. It is a Helle that one can taste out of a group, and while at first I thought this was not so good, having lived in Munich for a long time now, this beer has grown on me. The distinctivness has become positive over the years.

May ’15. A 0.5 l bottle from a supermarket, enjoyed at the wonderful English Garden park in Munich. Another one that was skipped it so many times, I really had to buy it. Grain, raw eggs and hay aroma. Flavor was lightly sweet, very lightly, followed the aroma with a bit of bitterness towards the end. Thinner in body with shorter, lightly herbal bitter and honey/egg sweetish finish. Not so bad as it may sound, just simple and light. Refreshing and by the all means mediocre pale lager.
