3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 jrohn92 (105) - USA - JUL 16, 2006
This has an amber body and roathy head of foam. The flavor of this beer is just not my taste..It would probably be better on tap.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 callmemickey (702) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 21, 2012
A: Rich, coppery amber body. Large eggshell white cap. Spotty lacing is left after the huge head crashed and burned quickly.
S: Spicy and grassy hops ride atop a backdrop of soft and sweet caramel malts.
T: A mellow caramel base comes through from start to finish as the grassy hop bitterness pokes in here and there. Slightly bready.
M: Medium bodied. Noticeable carbonation. Somewhat rounded finish.
O: Fairly good. The mouthfeel is a bit thicker than the flavor matches up with. A decent classic festbier.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 dreamflower (126) - Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 16, 2012
I was expecting something more from an Oktoberfest beer. It’s pretty much flavourless as far as I can tell. It’s not offensive but nothing to write home about either.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BeerInHeaven (11) - Brillion, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Nice copper color with a great off white, bubbly, lacing head. Light malt slightly skunky aroma. Malty, toasty taste with a lingering slowly fading malty aftertaste. Very nice.

I am not a fan of Oktoberfest beers and this one does not help. It has an almost cloying aroma that borders on scotch (which I like very much), but when I drink beer I do not want it to be anything like scotch. It pours a clear copper with a large white head. The taste is not bad. It is like a half and half of an amber ale and standard lager. Light to medium body with a thin texture. It’s a couple steps up from drinking water. Slight bitter finish. I think I’m just not a fan of Oktoberfest beers for the most part. I wouldn’t seeks this beer out. Glad it was a gift.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Scrapersnbeer (217) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 28, 2011
Years ago this is one of the first Oktoberfest beers I had and at the time I thought it was great. It has a very dark clear copper color and a dirty dirty malt aroma. It tastes semi-sweet with a hint of spice. Syrup/honey finish notes. Lighter bodied and easy drinking but filling. I bought a case on clearance and tried hard to find something new in them to add to the ratings. It is a good traditional beer, and apparently this export version is better than the Bavarian market offering. I gave it a 3.1.
