Great overall taste with a slight sour (the good kind) aftertaste. It has a medium strength alcohol taste that is actually quite smooth. It is a great Deutsch Oktoberfest!

Aug 30, 2008 Ah yes, the first Oktoberfest of the year! Nice dark amber pour with thick off white head. Big malty aroma with a slight noble hop bitterness. Taste is a wonderful balance between the malt presence and the hops. Not the best in this style, but good.

does not count  Aug 29, 2008 Pours clear, medium amber-brown, with a thin white head, not much lacing. Sweet, fruity, malty aroma, like rasins and apples. Medium body, very smooth. Crisp, well-balanced flavor, sweet, malty and caramel at first, with a nice German hop zing in the aftertaste.

Aug 25, 2008 12oz bottle. Transparent tan-orange color with a quickly dissipating head. Delicate sweet aroma. Creamy and malty with a pleasant spicy hop crispness. Displays a lot of lighter lager characteristics, in a good way, which make it quite a drinkable Oktoberfest. This one is a Ur-classic, pretty much dead center in the range of Oktoberfests.
