And with a green bottle comes… skunk. The skunk is noticeable the moment you pry off the cap. There’s a bit of malt mixed in with it. The beer itself isn’t black and white, but a light amber with a thin airy light tan head that goes away fast. Taste of skunk, Munich malt, toasted malt. Thin body has a gritty texture and finishes up with a vegetal/corny/dirty sox mixture. Snojerk321 (1937), San Diego, California, USA

Flavor is well balanced hops, with some fruity overtones. Malt is delightfully understated. This was a pleasant surprise. chandler0201 (341), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Amber pour with average white head. Aroma of corn pudding, and slightly sour taste as typical of malt liquor. So so. savnac (407), Palmer, Alaska, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 14, 2009 On tap. Not much aroma. Golden brown in color with no head. Malty and sweet, with a bit of a bready taste. There is a mild hop finish. This is a great beer, especially on tap. Cavie (1369), Fort Worth, Texas, USA

Roasted caramel malt aroma with some spices. Flavor is sweet and malty with a hint of roasted nuts and a slight hop bitterness in the finish. Sparky27 (1583), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Bottle. Pours a glowing dark amber with a one finger creamy white head. The nose is heavy malt, some spice and light grassy hops. The taste is toasted malt, some sweet caramel and grain with a slight peppery hops finish. Medium creamy body. Nothing exciting, just a well put together beer. Smells faintly sweet, taste is a bit sweet, a little maltiness, faint bitterness; watery. I am not a fan.
