| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 19, 2008 Pours a very clear copper color with a very small slightly off-white head... Smells of sweet malts... Tastes of the same sweet malts with a subtle hoppiness... Wonderful flavor for a marzen(not my favorite style by a longshot)... Medium bodied, lingering sweetness, lingering mouthfeel... Top notch marzen... nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 30, 2008 On Tap-cloudy amber color w/a moderate tan head. Flavors of caramel, roasted malt, raisens, & figs. Sweet, pleasant brew; not complicated but an enjoyable sesson brew that went well w/my lunch. Had some carbonation to it. I’d certainly drink this again; good solid choice if you see it somewhere on tap. Long, roasted malt finish. bretupdegraff (172), Fishers, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 26, 2008 pours brown/amber clear- This is one of the better Octoberfest brews that I have tried. I still have not tried one that I ’really’ like. Just not my cup of ’beer’. Certainly drinkable - but not great. blipp (1637), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 26, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Sweet caramel aroma with light toasty notes. The flavor is toast and sweet, not overly malty with some hoppy hints. Pretty good. Ryan82SM (236), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 21, 2008 The aroma is sweet and malty, much like Optimator. Appearance is rusty and cloudy. Has some underlying citrus flavor and even a little nutty perhaps. The palate is smooth and creamy. Good enough, but nothing thrilling. Optimator is better, methinks. fidelis83 (712), Clinton, Iowa, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Pours crisp medium amber with a 2 finger coarse foamy off white head that has great retention. Aroma is nice grainy malt, a little caramel, toast, and some sweet caramel, a hint of floral and citrus hops. Flavor has lots of grainy, straw like malts, caramel, a little citrus hops and an interesting fruity -berry like- taste that comes in just as the finish comes in with a caramel sweetness and leafy hops.
