joebudzjoe (222), Connecticut, USA Oct 5, 2008 On tap, clean, crisp roasted malt flavor. Nothing crazy, but nothing exceptional. jonno (542), Brisbane, Australia Oct 5, 2008 On tap at oktoberfest in yokohama. average really sums this one up in all areas. drunk my overpriced glass quickly and moved on to better things wheelz843 (203), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Oct 5, 2008 bottle. pours an amber color with decent amount of head. you can definetely taste the hops. not much aftertaste. good but not great. oldbaldguy (17), , Minnesota, USA Oct 3, 2008 On tap, Deep amber color, aroma is very bready and toasty with some spiciness in the background. All malt. Tastes very balanced with the complex malts coming out. There is some sweetness, but its not over the top. This is a very nice example of the style and obviously fresh because it tastes much better than some of the bottled versions of this one I have had in the past. daknole (2810), Plantation, Florida, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle at Brother Tuckers. Dark amber color. Aroma is a malt bomb. Flavor, yeah its a malt bomb too. Smooth and a bit creamy. It goes down well, but it isn’t something that I will remember in a week. machfive55 (218), Columbia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 2, 2008 Updated: Apr 24, 2009Poured a nice amber color with a good tan head that dissipated quickly. The aroma was mostly malty, but nothing really stood out. The flavor was also mostly malty and starts out very sweet, with slight hopiness and some skunkiness as well. The carbonation dies quickly and the beer finishes malty. Overall, nothing to get excited about with this beer, its a OK O-fest, maybe there was some damage to the beers I tried from the import. grandet (477), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle. Coopers. Nice amber pour wiht a nice white head. Aroma of malt. Very crisp but also very malty. Nice, vry good. dolemite77 (184), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Sep 30, 2008 Great dark lager. Grassy aroma... pours amber with a fluffy head. Flavor is crisp and green like a good lager should taste, but with the roasted malts rounding out the flavor. Bready flavors as well. Nice body to this one as well.
