Imaena (259), Portland, Maine, USA Jul 28, 2008 Bottle at Oktoberfest party in Bangor. Malts and hops co-mingle well. The beer is a flatliner it has nice base flavor to work with but goes nowhere. That being said its a good heavy session beer. You can stay sober by eating wurst and pretzels. troopie (851), USA Jul 6, 2008 Bottle. Poured dark gold with thick white head. Wonderful hoppy and malty aroma. Flavour just drops off the table with a flat ending. Thin body and a flattish finish. Acceptable, but a disappointment after such a fine start. leninthedesert (112), Nevada, USA Jun 28, 2008 Beautiful amber-colored beer. Roast malt tones balanced by mellow (not crisp) hop flavor. Finishes slightly bitter and sweet. Unique. carruthm (1112), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 22, 2008 Updated: Sep 13, 2008very clear Reddish pour with a lite lacing. Typical marzen taste with some caramel and bitters. wcampbell (572), Central, South Carolina, USA Jun 21, 2008 Not my favorite style, but good. All caramel malt flavor typical of the style. Nice balance of bitterness made this beer much more drinkable than some octoberfests. No complexity, just a simple beer. spagyetti (68), Puyallup, Washington, USA Jun 20, 2008 Bottle and tap. Rocktoberfest in a bottle! Well produced on the cheep! A solid drink for holloween! gringo332 (237), Richardson, Texas, USA Jun 19, 2008 Bottled. My first Oktoberfest/Marzen ever. No real hop aroma, but had a nice sweet malt aroma. Very malty with some bittering hop and alcohol notes. Tasty. Easy to drink. smith4498 (829), Miami, Florida, USA Jun 13, 2008 Pours amber with white head. Light fruity aroma. Sweet malty and fruity flavors. Medium body with average carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. A nice, easy drinking beer.
