Edmoe (126), Orlando, Florida, USA Nov 7, 2007 Beautiful copper color with off-white head (one finger). Malty aroma with notes of bread. Medium bodied palette that balances bitterness and sweetness very well. Malty with hint of roasted grain. Finishes clean. Very satisfying. CasperQuaffer (142), Casper, Wyoming, USA Nov 6, 2007 Great amber-orange crystal malty color. Aroma is fresh. Flavor is well balanced hops, with some fruity overtones. Malt is delightfully understated. This was a pleasant surprise. tgncc (798), Bellmore, New York, USA Nov 4, 2007 Typical amber color of a Marzen. The aroma is malty, some alcohol notes. Flavor also typical to a marzen, with the malts dominating. Kind of an abrupt finish. Decent marzen overall. jeg (115), Austin, Texas, USA Nov 3, 2007 Malty smell, amber color, white head. Sweet and malty taste, with lots of doughiness. slimchill (775), Austin, Texas, USA Nov 1, 2007 Draught. Light and sweet malt nose, biscuity/grassy. Golden amber, thin white head. Nice malt flavor, opens sharp and folds into a smoother and sweeter beer with lots of drinkability. emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Oct 31, 2007 Pours a copper amber with a two finger creamy offwhite head. The aroma is grassy noble hops with some sweet malt character. The flavor is crisp, grassy, sweet caramel, a mild malt background. Not a very powerful brew. Sessionable at least. Bier brauen (210), Bremerton, Washington, USA Oct 29, 2007 Updated: Aug 30, 2009It pours nice with a medium thin head. It has a sweet malty, and ever so slight caramel nose. The color is dark and golden. Nice lacing, but it doesn’t hang in the glass. Medium carbonation. The taste is also malty, sweet, medium mouthfeel, and a subtle bitter hop finish. 8/30/09 update. Yummy!! thenick (742), North Bellmore, New York, USA Oct 28, 2007 Tap. Pours a golden amber with a light white head. Aroma is malt and grain with slight hops. Taste is the same. Smooth, drinkable, very solid.
