Alldaydrinker (557), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA Oct 2, 2007 Draught. Medium amber colour with small off white head. Aroma is roasty, minor malts & stale hops. Initial taste is malty, spices, and slight bit of yeast. Finishing with a mild hops finish. gws57 (1131), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Oct 2, 2007 Had this one on draught in St. Charles, Illinois. Nice, hazy deep amber color, tan head, toasty malty nose, carmel and milk chocolate throughout. Smooth finish. Nice work! fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Oct 1, 2007 Bottle. Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, grain, dust. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (250807) jstraw (750), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 29, 2007 Amber with decent white head / Weak malt nose / Light body, dry, with fair finish / Flavors of honeyed grain, pilsner-like, with a touch of burnt sugar on the finish / Possibly more in the German style, but weak compared to American Oktoberfests. amee16 (62), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA Sep 29, 2007 I’m not very experienced with the Oktoberfest style but this was quite tasty. Roasty, warm & malty. A nice standard, drinkable beer. luv2brew (177), Chesterfield, Virginia, USA Sep 28, 2007 Pours a burnt gold color with a mild skunky nose and a nice bite of malt. This one is a typical German Lager, its a little too carbonated, but it gets better as it warms. There is some caramel flavor in this but everything is pretty milld. It goes down extremely smooth, and its just a well rounded marzen beer. Nothing special, but they stayed true to form on this one. I could see myself drinking a couple of these on a fall saturday. BigMilly8 (374), Holiday, Florida, USA Sep 28, 2007 On draught : Pours a copper amber color, semi-clear, with finger wide offwhite head. A spicey aroma with some malts. Taste is malty with spices, much like th aroma. Palate is thin to medium bodied, goes down smooth with a nice aftertaste. McGarnigle (302), Rochester, New York, USA Sep 27, 2007 No date on bottle. Pours copper color with sub-par head. Aroma is malty and maybe a little spicy. I think it’s a bit over-carbonated. Flavor is a bit on the dry side, which is fine with me. Maybe a little too simple. I wonder if my bottle wasn’t fresh enough; I’d love to try this on tap in Munich.
