Had on draft at the winking lizard. Sweet smell of roasted malts. Taste was the similar. A very decent Oktoberfest, but I like Marzen’s with a bit more interst, and this one seemed a bit boring.

Bottle. Small off white head that quickly dissipates. Not very leggy on the glass, and aroma isn’t anything mentionable. Mouthfeel is a bit light, somewhat watery, but smooth. I think it is an enjoyable oktoberfest, it is what it is... I get what I expect of the genre. Enjoyable with some sausage. :) A good "drinkin beer."

Not too impressed with this Octoberfest, heavy roasted malt made it somewhat distasteful. Not one I’d choose again.

355 ml. Huge creamy and lasting head on this gold amber beer. Initial aroma is skunk (green bottle) that blows away to reveal some malty spicy goodness. Malty herbed molasses flavor with some slightly spicy cocoa in the finish. Palate is soft and light medium.

Draught. Medium amber colour with small off white head. Aroma is roasty, minor malts & stale hops. Initial taste is malty, spices, and slight bit of yeast. Finishing with a mild hops finish.

Had this one on draught in St. Charles, Illinois. Nice, hazy deep amber color, tan head, toasty malty nose, carmel and milk chocolate throughout. Smooth finish. Nice work!

Bottle. Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, grain, dust. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (250807)

Amber with decent white head / Weak malt nose / Light body, dry, with fair finish / Flavors of honeyed grain, pilsner-like, with a touch of burnt sugar on the finish / Possibly more in the German style, but weak compared to American Oktoberfests.
