Sep 4, 2007 Poured a nice orange/amber color with a decent white foam head. The nose was sweet with nutty malts as well as a light citric hop twang. The taste started with some sweet caramel and nutty notes with a distinct fruitiness throughout. The finish was dry and had a good spicy/citric hop presence. This was a pretty decent autumn beer. It wasn’t exciting in any way, but worth a try.

Sep 2, 2007 Yet another good Spaten product - solid malty flavor comes through with little else around it. Miss a bit of the Bavarian character others have, but still entirely respectable beer.

Aug 30, 2007 On draft at the Saucer. Pours a deep copper with a lasting off-white head. Aroma dominated by lightly kilned malts. Taste is sweet with caramel, balanced by noble German hops with herbal/minty character. Very satisfying.

Aug 30, 2007 Notes of caramel malts and a little nuttiness in the nose. Pours amber in color. Very malt forward with flavors of caramel and a little roast followed by a sweet breadiness. Finishes crisp. A very good oktoberfest bier.

Aug 29, 2007 draft. brown-orange with thin off white head. light malt aroma. taste is sweet mollases and malts. palate is thinner than i expected. a decent beer but the flavors didn’t blow me away and tended to hang in the mouth a bit.
