Draft...beautiful coppery color with decent white head, nice balance which is hard to describe as it is not too thick but not too thin, just right really. There’s just something good about it, and it’s refreshing right down the line.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is very hoppy with some malt. The taste is bitter with a clean finish. a decent brew.

Really amazing beer. Great flavor! I’m surprised this beer is not as highly thought of. I enjoy it.

bottle. Nothing special here. A little maltyness a slight hoppiness. A little bitter and sweet. Feels very thin. I’d defintely pass for the money.

Bottle sampled. Pours amber with a decent size white head. Aroma of caramel malts, lightly toasted malts, and mild traces of hops. The flavor is sweet and toasted caramel malts, and finishes somewhat dry.

Bottle. Pours brownish-copper with a small beige head--mostly diminishing with not much lacing. Nose is sweet: raisin... some apple. Taste is caramel malt with a hint of hops. Light to medium body with quite a bit of carbonation. Mouthfeel is somewhat thin with a very subtle finish. Not too complex, but not too flat either.

This is a very typical German marzen. Nothing too crazy here-- just that nice balance of malt and hops. I’ve kind of lost my interest in this st yle, but I don’t remember many others that were significantly better than the Spaten.

Bold amber appearance, a little head. The aroma is fairly mellow, kinda weak. The flavor is definitely that of a lager, but it’s also reminiscent of a brown ale. Either way, it is refreshing and crisp. The palate is smooth indeed. In general, it’s a good mild beer.
