orville (160), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA Nov 9, 2006 MY FAVORITE MARZEN. Amber color, bready, and great for celebrating. This is definetly one to look forward to all year. Thanx Munchen pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Nov 8, 2006 Bottle Copper-colored with a nice off white head. Kind of sweet tasting as Marzen beers generally are. I like Marzen beers and to me this is one of the better ones widely available. dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA Nov 7, 2006 i liked everything about it, yet something was missing, on tap, winking lizard fairlawn, the zing wasn’t there ChazMania (408), Pasadena, California, USA Nov 2, 2006 Bottled. Light copper with really no head at all. Maybe I had a bad bottle, but I taste yeast much more than I taste hop or malt. Either that, or I’m just a total hophead and rarely does anything else satisfy. This is better than mass produced crud beer, but certainly nothing special. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Nov 1, 2006 Nice crystal clear color. Kind of a light copper. The head was a creamy white. Good looking beer. Aroma is spicy hops and some grain malts. The flavor is sweeter than the aroma led me to believe. Mmm, malty sweetness, pale malts and a firm noble hop spiciness create a well rounded taste profile. Very tasty beer. mansquito (819), Boston/Philadelphia, USA Oct 30, 2006 Excellent Oktoberfest. Brought back a bottle to my father from Boston, so good. Beautiful orange pour without too much of a head. Goes down malty and smooth. Truly there is exactly the right amount of hops. Very nice and balanced beer that is perfect for this time of the year. SSSteve (2047), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 29, 2006 orange under a small white head. toasted malt aroma. malty and smooth palate. toasted malt and buttered bread make up the flavor. average brew. marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA Oct 28, 2006 Bottle, malty fall aroma. Copper colored with a good thick head. Taste is balanced towards bitter and has a slight metallic finish and ever so slight skunkiness. Malt is evident. Creamy mouthfeel. Tastes like an ancestor of American pale lagers. Not bad overall.
