trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA Oct 10, 2006 Amber-gold pour with a big white head. Perfume-like aroma with light malts. Nice crisp taste with a good balance of hops. Bready and sweet flavors as well. Nice, clean beer. jb (1024), Rochester, New York, USA Oct 8, 2006 This one seemed a little more full bodied and complex than other Okt. I’ve had. It showed more hops than expected in the palate and finish initially, but then as it warmed, I noticed some caramel notes, along with with the usual bread dough in the nose and the maltiness really started coming through in the palate. Sticky sweet - nice. One of the best I’ve had and I’ve been sampling as many as I can get my hands on. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA Oct 8, 2006 Updated: Oct 10, 2006Draught at Sharkeys, Blacksburg VA. Light amber color. Light malty aroma. Good balance, very smooth and crisp.
