Oct 10, 2006 Amber-gold pour with a big white head. Perfume-like aroma with light malts. Nice crisp taste with a good balance of hops. Bready and sweet flavors as well. Nice, clean beer.

Oct 8, 2006 This one seemed a little more full bodied and complex than other Okt. I’ve had. It showed more hops than expected in the palate and finish initially, but then as it warmed, I noticed some caramel notes, along with with the usual bread dough in the nose and the maltiness really started coming through in the palate. Sticky sweet - nice. One of the best I’ve had and I’ve been sampling as many as I can get my hands on.

does not count  Oct 1, 2006 love it .wish the head lingereed a little longer. great with food. nice dark amber color. medium body. the malt raost is just right.doesnt get much better than this. been told this is one of the oldest octoberfest beers.

Sep 30, 2006 Sample at Octoberfest Tasting at Sarandys In Roscoe, IL. Pours a nice rich amber color with a minimal biege head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Taste of malt and molasses. A very well balanced brew. This was one of the better Octoberfest brews sampled.

Sep 29, 2006 Pours amber, little head. Not much aroma. Flavor is a nice sweetness with a bit of bitterness.
