Although a bit thin towards the back. Alcohol doesnt really come through which may or may not be a good thing. Very nice beer. arkurzynski (95), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Bottle. Orangish in color with thin white head. Aroma is good, but I am not a fan of the taste of this beer. Much too malty for my palate. Perfer other marzens to this one. TheSponge (275), Lynnwood, Washington, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 4, 2009 Pours bronze with some slightly fluffy white head. Aroma has notes of malt and caramel but is a bit weak. Flavor is a bit more rich of roasted malt, caramel, and currants. Somewhat bland with little finish. It’s aight. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 4, 2009 Serving: 12 oz. bottle.
Appearance: Very deep amber color with a foamy white head. The head is gone in seconds.
Aroma: Slight metallic and wet dog notes. A bit of caramel and toasted malt. Could be better.
Taste: Toasty malt, a bit of grain and biscuit. Mild bitterness in the background that helps even out all of the maltiness.
Palate: Medium-high, prickly carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. Medium, slightly bitter finish.
Overall: A middle of the road Oktoberfest that isn’t really spectacular in any way.
Rebuy: No, there are better ones out there. CanIHave4Beers (862), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 3, 2009 Pours a deep orangish gold with a medium head. Aroma is mildly skunked (damned green bottles) with a bit of nice hoppiness and a nutty maltiness, really a nice pungent beer if it weren’t for that skunk lingering.
The flavor has some nice roasty somewhat grainy malt well balanced with a nice noble hoppiness, and just a touch of an almost nutty candy like sweetness in the background.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 2, 2009 Fairly good for a marzen style. Pours out a ruddy brown with a respectable tan head. Aroma is lightly sweet. Taste is malty sweet, a bit of spice, and a touch yeasty. Not bad but it starts to get too sweet for me towards the end. I doubt I could have more than one or two of these beers and this style is supposed to be one of the more sessionable ones. Regardless, not bad at all in limited quantities.
