drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 20, 2009 Had this at a sampling. Skunked Oktoberfest! Stupid Germans and their green bottles! Barreras (121), Diamond Bar, California, USA Aug 17, 2009 Pours to an amber color with aroma of barley and hops. Tastes slight sweetness with a bitter aftertaste. The beer got better as I drank it, overall a decent beer. nhamilton (58), Cibolo, Texas, USA Aug 16, 2009 Pours to a small, golden head with an amber body. Has slight hint of barley perhaps. Goes down smooth and doesn’t leave any unpleasant aftertaste. Another good German brew. Plamadude30k (122), Tucson, Arizona, USA Aug 16, 2009 Pours a nice golden amber with a white, quickly fading head. The aroma is truly intriguing, grass, hops, a little toffee, and some light fruits. The flavor is rather similar, if perhaps a little earthy. Mostly, this beer surprised me, especially in the nose, and as I’m not often surprised, that won this beer some points. Pailhead (2572), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Aug 14, 2009 Bottle: The aroma is light caramel, earthy hops, roastiness, and faint grass. It pours a transparent amber with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a small ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with light caramel. The finish has some light roastiness and some earthy hoppiness. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Bierkrug (235), Idar-Oberstein (in Pakistan), Germany Aug 9, 2009 500 ml on tap in the USA. Light amber hue with fine head and spotted lace. Aroma is malty-sweet and slightly yeasty---quite nice. Wonderful classic Marzen flavors combined in a great balance. The key here is the roasted malt flavors, which give the sweet malt the needed relief. CUJO (339), Brooklyn, New York, USA Aug 8, 2009 Radegast: pint glass: getting on in the evening but I remember this being no more than average. The nose was farmy, lots of grains... the taste was mild and even, but I wouldn’t say balanced. Just average tone and feel of the beer. markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Jul 30, 2009 Not my style, but an ok beer. On tap @ Brass Tap Wesley Chapel, FL. Pours orange with a white head. Nose is malt, lager, hops, bread, and hay. Flavor is about the same with a lager flavor and bread. Not a bad Marzen, if that’s what the occasion calls for.
