Amber in color. This medium bodied beer has achieved its impeccable taste by balancing the roasted malt flavor with the perfect amount of hops. Having a rich textured palate with an underlying sweetness true to tradition.

fresh for 2005. nice aroma with flavor hops. lighlty bitter, followed by major top end flavor hops, then good strong malty middle, light aromatic finish. tilted toward the hoppy end of marzens, malt is plainly obvious, but not the star. good fest.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2015 This beer drinks very easy. Smooth light crisp palate. Goes down quick and easy. Brown copper color. Not my favorite look for a brew not not off putting. Aroma is mild and forgettable with a almost musky quality. Solid simple flavor. Better as it comes to room temp. Nothing overly special all in all, but satisfying. I would drink this again.

12 FL OZ ($1.99 bottle) relatively good but far from the best. Its good enough for getting drunk but i think i will choose a different beer for my oktoberfest.

Aroma is slight dark fruit, raisin like. Appearance is a gorgeous burgundy hue. Taste is crisp with some fruity/metallic character. Palate is soft. Overall a delicious Oktoberfest. One of my favorites.

Good color... copper amber. Smells of sweet malt. A bit neutral, sweet... smooth. Not bad.

We have only tried this at a small tavern in Mt Angel, OR, home of the Oktoberfest. The tavern we originally tried it at is closed now and in it?s place is the tavern/eatery called the Drunken German. Not as good as the Optimator but I would never turn it down.

One of the few beers that I will drink more than 1 of at a time. Beautiful malty-sweet aroma and taste. Medium brown color, crystal clear and just tasty. Every year I look forward to when the local grocery store starts to carry this beer and then the yearly german culture picnic at the park which serves this on tap. When the last bottle is taken from the fridge towards the end of December it is a moment of ceremony for us.
