Amber in color. This medium bodied beer has achieved its impeccable taste by balancing the roasted malt flavor with the perfect amount of hops. Having a rich textured palate with an underlying sweetness true to tradition.

Nice copper color with a great off white, bubbly, lacing head. Light malt slightly skunky aroma. Malty, toasty taste with a lingering slowly fading malty aftertaste. Very nice.

Bottle @ Café Brecht. Clear golden color, full sized white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly sweet initially but a nice hayish and slight bitter finish. I quite like it.

On Tap - Vanguard - Kinnikinnic Ave - Bayview/Milw - Pours brown, frothy tan head. Caramel malt, grassy aroma. Typical Oktoberfest taste profile but, unlike many US Oktoberfests, this has a slight dry finish which cleanses the palate of the sweet tendancy (the US versions tend to be too sweet for me). Light on the palate, drinkable, sessionable. Had just about sworn off Oktoberfests before this one.

Bottle poured into a pint glass. Amber color and a small white head. A clean aroma with just a little malt. Malty taste with a little zing on the back end. Highly carbonated. Good...but not great.

Dark brown pour, mild head. Rich and strong malty nose, nice bitterness that finishes fast and watery.

Draft at Porvoon Paahtimo, Porvoo. Thought I had the wrong beer at first, as I wouldn’t call it amber. More like light gold. Clear with visible carbonation. Grainy malty smell not dissimilar to a macro lager, but it’s fresher. Sweet taste with a suggestion of candied orange peel. Long sweet finish. Yest and vanilla notes in the aftertaste. Not too bad but not the best Oktoberfest beer I’ve had. Just that little bit too cloying.

Deep amber copper pour with a small white head. Aroma is metallic, some sweet malt. Flavor is also metallic with some sweet malt, mild fruits, maybe a hint of sassafras. Mouth feel is medium and silky with decent fizz. Finishes slightly malty but with a huge metallic twang.

Drank from a green bottle. Aroma is skunk and grain. Flavor is grain, caramel, earth, and skunk. Has a light body, well-carbonated. Okay.
