Poured a yellowish-orange wtih a white head that left a lacing on the glass. Aroma is not very malty, with more of a hop bite. Taste has a hint of spice and malt, but tastes paler than most oktoberfests. Granted, flavor is there, but not the kind of flavor I would expect from an oktoberfest.

Oct. 2006 - Kind of underwhelming. Copper colored pour with nice head. Bready aroma. Flavor was roasty and toasty bready with some sweet malt. Sort of nondescript. Oct. 2009 - I have a bit more appreciation now. It’s as I described in 2006, but it’s a nice crisp flavorful lager with a good balance of sweet malt and toasty/bread notes. Dry finish. Not bad.

Reminds me of a Vienna with an off bitter taste. Not unpleasant but not something I will go back to.

Had this one on draught in St. Charles, Illinois. Nice, hazy deep amber color, tan head, toasty malty nose, carmel and milk chocolate throughout. Smooth finish. Nice work!

on tap at metzlers in denton tx. poured a amber/orange with an off-white head. going off memory(which is not very good). aroma of malt with a little bit of earthy spices. flavor is right on with most oktoberfests. this did have a nice hop bitter to bring out the finish. a decent o-fest, but not my favorite.

Golden colour with a nice white head. Fine lace. Very malty, quite full - almost chewy.

My chick picked out the pre-game beer last night and she chose Spaten Octoberfest, cool!
Copper / amber in color, uplifted a short lived fizzy tan head. Pretty good stuff, it was a bit lacking in complexity of flavor and aroma, pretty simple but good. Loads of ceramal malts present themselves in the aroma and flavor, slightly toasty. Nothing stellar but yummy.
