Amber in color. This medium bodied beer has achieved its impeccable taste by balancing the roasted malt flavor with the perfect amount of hops. Having a rich textured palate with an underlying sweetness true to tradition.

Amber balanced pour with a lot of roasted malt flavor. Can’t taste a ton of hop in this Marzen, but a lot of nice spices are present in the aroma- a crisp taste and a slightly powerful carbonation, but overall, this Oktoberfest is a pretty decent brew.

Für mich recht Standart. Nicht schlecht nicht herausragend alles sehr glatt gezogen. Etwas grasig ein wenig Getreide. Im Geschmack auch recht frisch hopfig. Abgang ist kurz und mildwürzig.

BBD 5/16. Pours a clear amber that is rather brown. Outstanding head volume and retention, normal lacing. Light, but typical, Oktoberfest nose. Light biscuit, a touch of caramel and light grassy hops. Heavy light body that has a smooth texture with a few creamy aspects. Superb carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a reasonable prickly finish. The flavor profile is outstanding. It begins with light biscuit that flows into caramel that hints at sweetness. As the middle approaches, a light nuttiness is noted. The middle brings a subtle hop flavor and bitterness, mostly herbal. The finish is somewhat crisp and has a very slight mineral quality as the hop, caramel and nutty grains slowly fade.

On tap at Two Brothers Tavern, this was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a slight transparent amber to orange color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head. Extremely minimal lacing, barely there. The smell starts off with some roasty nuts, sweet glossy caramel tones and delicate toffee all blend nicely. The taste was mainly sweet with a sticky sweet caramel aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a stickiness leaning to cloying, but gently allows some carbonation to ride into the balance of it all. Overall, not a bad Oktoberfest, probably could have again.

Golden color with a white head with medium duration. Aroma hasnotes of noble hops, herbal hints and cookie hints. Flavor is slightly sweet at the beginning with good maltiness and mild bitterness in the final. Enjoyable.

Bottle pour at Palo Alto Networks in Santa Clara, CA. Nose is malts, honey, brown sugar. Taste is creamy / malty with a nice balanced hop on the finish. A little too sweet malts for me but also Your Standard Operation German Beer.

Malty clean aroma with mild hints of skunk from being in a green bottle. Has additional almost floral fairly pasture based pleasant aromas, cooking sugar aroma. Clear, copper/bronze color, light head, no lacing. Toasty, grainy, munich/pilsner type flavors, sweetish yet balanced. Unctuous palate, perfection. Goes down easy and dry begging for another sip. Truly a good brew but the green bottle costs a good bit in quality. It is super simple and straightforward which isn’t a put-down. Wonderful brew.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2015 Amber colored, skunky, sweet lager that is seriously easy to drink. A brown bottle would help this beer along with not letting inBev control the brewing. Overall though, pretty good.
