COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the German version of the beer, described by Jackson in the 2000 Pocket Beer Book as "much paler (than Oktoberfest-Marzen in the US), golden, albeit still with a creamy aroma and pleasant malt accent."

Smak och doft av malt, humle, jäst med toner av bröd och frukt. Liten beska och skör kropp.

Thanks Nikola for this! Familia, Jesolo. Dull golden body with a medium sized white head. Dust and soap in the malty aroma, hmm. Grainy malty taste, quite malty, dog food-like, vague herbal notes, dust. Humm, I wasn’t impressed, though I might rerate it.

From notes: Earthy, floral aroma / Flavors are also earthy, with some good sweetness. Also a nice touch of spice. Very pleasant.

Malty and fruity with aromas of crispbread and honey. Too plain and simple.

Didn’t like this at all. Not much aroma or flavor. Watery and a little boozy.

Bottle from Peckhams, Glasgow (500ml for £2.99):
Light with some floral notes, a few malts and a bit of spice for good measure. The aroma is almost like a glass of lemonade in parts and it smells pretty refreshing. There is a bit of skunky and some toasted malts too that follow this along with touches of citrus.
Light golden colour topped with a bubbly, thumb-sized white head that starts to fade after a few seconds. Clear and there is a tiny amount of lacing on the sides too.
Malty with some grain and a good helping of citrus and some floral hops. There is a malt biscuit taste and some sweetness with a few grains. Again this one tastes quite refreshing.
Light medium bodied, lively carbonation and a good, crisp finish to round things off. Quite refreshing most of the way through before turning quite dry right at the end.

Not a classic, or one I’m likely to have again for that matter but it was still a nice, easy drinking beer that I enjoyed despite it fading very slightly at the tail end.

#273 Vollmundig im Antrunk! Malzig und würzig zugleich, gelungen! Im Abgang zwar etwas laff, aber dafür umso süffiger geraten. Ein Bier für Freunde kräftiger Genüsse. Test vom 15.10.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,12,10,12,12 - 11,55

Bottle to glass pint. Pours a clear amber color with a decent off white head. I can’t describe the smell, but it’s not appealing to me. Flavor is very....not much. Maybe sweet skunky malt. Bleh.
