Dark, malty and a little roasty...really good doppelbock! As another reviewer called it "very drinkable"!

Bottle. Pours brown with tan head, settles quickly with thin sheets of lacing. Aroma is malty, nutty, toffee, and plum, smells sweet. Flavor is malty, mildly roasted, nutty malt, caramel/toffee, with a fruity finish and a malty aftertaste that lingers. Soft carbonation, medium body, and smooth texture. An enjoyable, drinkable, malty beer.

A quite tasty and unique brew. Pours a beautiful thick dark red with very little head. Smells of cherries and cream. Taste is a little different, a good amount of licorice. Heavier then it looks. Kind of like Negro Modelo if it was a porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

significant roast chocolate smell. Dark color with clean filtration. Thin head. Hearty taste, strong. Smoke with long lasting palate. Was looking for a cheaper Celebrator, but it falls short.

Very dark brown pour with medium off white head. I didn’t pick up too much aroma other than a slight malt. Very smooth with excellent drinkability. This is my second dopplebock and im a big fan of this style already. I can taste an almost sour malty taste that’s perfectly balanced, rich & smooth. These dopplebocks go down like session beers with no indication of how high the ABV actually is.

Dark copper, clear, tan head. Aroma of dark bread crusts, a little toffee, some dark fruit. Flavor is similar with lots of rich, toasty Munich malt, dark fruit, nuts, bready notes, warming alcohol. Easy drinking for a doppelbock. Well made.

Bottle. Deep brown body with a ruby taint and a medium off-white bubbly head. Now THAT’s how a doppelbock should look! :-) Aroma is home-made hard caramel ("knekk" in Norwegian), faint nutty tones, caramel malts and hints of red berries far in the back. Taste is burnt sugar, caramel, hints of nuts and bread crumbs. Semi-full body, medium carbonation. OK, but all in all not that awesome considering doppelbock is one of my favorite genres. Maybe I’m just getting picky. ;-)

Drought. Reddish brown with small beige foamy head, caramel aroma, fruity caramel taste, low carbonation, abrupt finish. Very drinkable beer!

Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden. Thich fluffy brown head that lingers. Clear red-brown color. Unpure aroma of vegetables. Rich malty light rosted malts snd also a bit of alcohole present in the taste. Well fermented and no sweet finnish with a full bodie.
