COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The classic German dark beer, bottom fermented ’Doppel Bock’. Full bodied with a deep dark color and rich roasted malt flavor.

Dark color with a deep red tint. Aroma.. deep malt, taste is good, malty with a sweet taste then smokey with some fruity undertones. Enjoyable but seems to be missing something to be great.

Such a fun beer. Dark pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is mild and warm, but doesn’t quite match the flavor, which is really great. Taste is subtly fruity and chocolatey. Not too sweet, bitter, nor complex.

Quick, highly-carbonated pour into a thin, bubbling head. Dark red with a malty aroma. Yeasty taste with malt undertones. Slight hoppy aftertaste with a yeasty taste that sticks around quite a bit. Maybe it’s just a class of brew that I’m not into, but not a fan.

Oily, brown color with no head. The flavor was kind of a sweet caramel with some raisen notes. Not too bad.

Little aroma, dark ruby color. Flavors of roasted caramel and some clove and anise notes, but still very balanced and palatable. Pretty good.

Bottle. Dark ruby, ultimately clear, with a nice head. Rich beer, although not syrupy (which I don’t prefer). I don’t get a lot of roasted out of this, but it is malty sweet. Slight alcohol warmth. Not super tasty. Good, not great.
