The classic German dark beer, bottom fermented ’Doppel Bock’. Full bodied with a deep dark color and rich roasted malt flavor.

Dark reddish brown colour with off-white head, nice retention. Aroma is malty and fruity. Taste is malty, sweet, bready, quite nice.

Smooth , solid, and satisfying. I was expecting a bit more body because of the color. Not as roasted as I was anticipating, howver rich bready mouth feel, and the text book Spaten glide down the throat smoothness. Flavor was less than I expected, but still tasty , would definatly have again if in the mood. Taste was front end loaded.

This beer next to the straight up Lager style Munchen Spaten has to be the most flavorful and aromatic. Though I have had many beers with similar types of builds and tastes this one had an intriguingly steak/beefy like taste. Truly a beer to satiate the hungry beer drinker, and the dark roasted color with the golden wrapped bottle adds to the ever admirable food beer it becomes.

Clear mahogany with a tan head. Aroma of molasses and soy sauce. Taste is sweet rich malt with burnt sugar and plum. Syrupy texture.

Poured from the bottler. Color is a nice dark brown, hints of chocolate with a roasted nut taste. There is absolutely "no" aftertaste on your palate upon drinking. Has a definite European taste (obviously), good beer!

Very solid beer. Not something I want to drink in mass amounts, but I will definitely have one or two on any given night at my local German bar.

Poured dark brown. Nice biscuity aroma. Taste is bread and a little bit of spice. Smooth finish. Good.

Bottled pours black with amber tones. Aromas of ripe fruit and raisin. Flavors similar sweet on the tongue. Lasting raisin flavor on the palate. Decent beer.
