pours out clear brown and semi thick with an offwhite bubbly head that fell really fast. the body is dark maroon ruby with very litlle bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass with no lacing at all. the aromas are that of caramel and butter scotch with a nice roasty scent to it. the flavours are definate roasted caramel and toffee. the mouthfeel is medium bodied with very moderate sutel carbonation with no aftertaste and soft on the palate. nice winter beer to drink on a cold day.

Pours a deep dark brown color with reddish hues. Aroma of toasted grain and malt. Flavor is of roasted grain/malt with a hint of sweet chocolate. Has an almost creamy texture. Quite good.

12oz bottle. Deep amber-brown color, looks filtered still. Sweet and malty, with some pungent and rich yeast tones. There is some medium bodied lightness to this one that isn’t typical of Doppelbocks. Sweet and roasty caramel and chocolate notes with a malty Lagery finish. Simple and understated, this is a nice beer, but hardly a prime example of the style.

Pours a very dark amber with a thin creamy head. Light & subtle nutty aroma. Sweet carmel/coffee taste with little after-taste. Not a bad doppelbock, recommended.

Dark red-brown with a light tan head. Sweet malts and fruity esters. Taste has some alcohol, toasted malts, and some toffee notes. Some dark fruit. Medium-full body.

A good beer, would definitely get it again. Very dark pour with very little head. Nice flavor.

From the bottle, this poured dark brown with deep grape red tones and sticky light-tan suds. It smells of booze, warming into bread pudding minus the vanilla; candied sugar, toasty malts, a little bit of fruit. The flavor is intensely sweet. a touch sour with a bitterness in the finish. The syrupy quality is balanced well with adequate carbonation. Deliciously potent.

Pours dark very brown with a little red and a off white red. Excellent smoky sweet aroma and a similar flavor of roasted nuts and sweet fruit.
