3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Such a fun beer. Dark pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is mild and warm, but doesn’t quite match the flavor, which is really great. Taste is subtly fruity and chocolatey. Not too sweet, bitter, nor complex.

Pour from bottle. Deep amber in color with moderate tan head. Very malty with a rich clean sweetness. Not my style but good beer.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark brown with light tan head. Aroma caramel malt and some fruit. Medium body. Sweet malt flavor up front, then some cherry-like fruit develops, then the finish is just a little dry. Pretty complex and very well balanced and drinkable. Excellent.

One of the better doppelbocks I’ve had. Deep brown color, thick head, with a rich toffee and cocoa aroma. Sweet and slick on the tongue.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aromas of toasty caramel malts, a little fruity, and faintly dusty Dark clear mahogany-ruby with a mostly fading off-white head. Dry, with caramel and toast in the forefront, some earthy hops to balance. Light-medium bodied, somewhat creamy, and finishes with notes of vanilla and caramel.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A doppelbock that can't be missed! Beginning with a nice fairly strong fruity and malty aroma along with a ruby brown color, this beer looks impressive. The flavor and balance between malty and sweet fruit notes does not disappoint and also hits the palate with a pleasant intensity. Concludes on a sweet cherry taste with surprisingly little bitterness. I enjoyed this brew, though the mouthfeel and body struck me as a bit thin and light. Distinct from its neighbor Paulaner Salvator in this regard, which i recall having a fuller body. That being said, it's still above and beyond average.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours reddish-brown with a off white head. Taste sweet, cherries, plums. I thought this was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again.

Poured from a bottle it is a cola brown Colorado with a slight head. The aroma is Malthus and has the smell of raisins. The taste is very sweet like dried cherries that ingers on the palate
