The best doppelbock Fantastic flavor...best when served out of keg but still fantastic in a bottle. Pours a dark red color, distinctive taste (compared to other dopplebocks). World Class
First had at the Rathskeller in Indianapolis...changed beer drinking forever in my eyes. Use to drink Budlight and Miller light...never again

Sep 4, 2008 Wow! This is amazing. The flavor realy blew me away. Just a great full bodied beer if I’m not in the mood for hops....which is very rare.

Sep 2, 2008 I’m not a big fan of the style, finding it much too sweet and lacking bitterness, but it is the style. This beer handles it’s 7% alcohol very well. It is well balanced with a lingering maltiness that becomes sweet.

Sep 2, 2008 On tap at the Germany pavillion in Epcot. Pours brown with a moderate tan head that lasted through mid-glass. Pleasant, rich, malty aroma. The flavor is very rich malt with a bit of brown sugar and caramel. Light bitterness at the finish. Nearly full bodied with a well-rounded mouthfeel. Maybe it was the midday heat in Epcot, but I thoroughly enjoyed this beer and thought it was quite good!

Sep 1, 2008 Rich and malty with an overpowering sweetness after the first sip. The roasted malt stands out with a nice hop balance. Ends with a smooth filling finish.
