Jul 8, 2008 Spaten Pils is a clear golden lager with a film of a white head. Soft fruit and wood are in the aroma. It smells prickly and a touch sweet with hints of lemon. It is light bodied and a touch gritty like minerals. It is smooth, well rounded in bitterness and shows great balance in flavor. All of the aroma elements are present in the flavor, plus pretzels and cracked pepper. Very drinkable.

Jul 4, 2008 Bottle. Clear pale gold with a white head. Pleasant herbal, grainy hop nose. Crisp, grainy, malty pils. Notes of lemon, grass and hay. Ends with a mineral-like lingering hop bitterness. Medium bodied with a smooth texture and moderate carbonation. Overall, solid.

Jun 20, 2008 Bottle poured a clear yellow with a small lingering white head. Aromas of straw, spicy noble hops and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a slightly dry finish. Flavors of straw, spice and light citrus with a crisp dry bitter finish.
