A good Pils - absolutely true to type.
In bottles, a draw with Warsteiner. But Warsteiner isn’t as good on draft - haven’t had this on draft, as of yet.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pale straw color with a large foamy head. Lightly sour aroma with some hops. Surprisingly rich flavor with soft malts and lightly tingly hops.

not much aroma, not much flavor, w/ an unpleasant finish. Pass

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pretty clear yellow-gold color. Mild, fizzy head, diminishing quickly. Aroma fairly mild; suggestive of wheat, perhaps? Pleasant flavor, though not as hoppy as I might have expected. Feels good in my mouth; not too carbonated. A nice beer, but not really a standout. I’d probably like it more if I were a fan of pale beers.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2003 Clear golden color with a decent white foamy head that sticks to the sides of the glass, light bready and flowery aromas, balanced malt and hop flavors, light to medium body with a crisp mouthfeel, finishes clean and dry, all in all not a bad pils, well done.

pilsner is not my style - but this one has a enough body / strength to make it good. very snappy. good hot day beer (if you don’t have a bottle of bock around that is)

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear, golden yellow. A decent head. Nice sweet malt nose with some snappy hops evident. The taste is the same, decent pilsner malt, clean with better then average hop bite. Nothing great but a respectable pils.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear gold in color, frothy white head and decent lace. Nose malt, front is malt and lightly sweet, the top light, the finish is dry, acidic, crisp and clean with a nice hop presence. Quite a decent beer even if it is a ’Pils’!

Nice tarty smell as you crack open the cap. Good head. Tastes is good and refreshing. Expensive but worth the few coins more.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dry, crisp, and very refreshing. Pretty medium bodied and medium hop bitterness in the finish. It’s such a shame that in the USA Miller Lite can label its beer pilsner but Spaten has to label its beer ’malt liquor’.
