Our 2014 IPA is a West Coast inspired American IPA. Aggressive American hops are showcased in the flavor and aroma of this interpretation. A full body coats the mouth with sticky fruit flavors followed by a punch of hop aroma thanks to extensive dry hopping.

Orange pour with a white head. The aroma is fairly hoppy with some orange citrus notes as well as some biscuit malt. There is also a slight vegetal note in the aroma. The flavor is similar with the orange and biscuit malt balancing each other out and keeping the beer from being too bitter. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Southern Prohibition 2014 IPA has a medium-to-thick, cream-colored head, a hazy, orange-gold appearance, and heavy lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of piney hop resin and a little metallic. Taste is of sweet, bready malt, noticeable piney bitterness, and a background metal. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Southern Prohibition 2014 IPA finishes semi-dry, slightly boozy, and decently refreshing (at 7:50 am). Overall, it is worth checking out, but it is not so terrific. Draft - Spicy, floral and pine hops. Cloudy copper with decent beige head. Tastes just as it smells, not a lot of bitterness and a caramel malt backbone. Very easy drinking.

Draft. Copper with medium white head. Aroma of fruit esters, spicy hops, and a hint of woodiness. The mixture of spicy hops and wood notes almost give a cinnamon aroma. Medium body with spice notes, caramel, and a slight hop bitterness.

Draft. Deep copper with medium off white head. Light aroma of tropical fruit and caramel. Medium body with tropical fruit and grapefruit notes, caramel, and a bitter finish. Very Good, but could have used a little more on the aroma.

Brown in the glass with a white head. Very nice floral hops in the nose. The beer starts very nice hopped. The body is more malty than sweet which fits ideal in the hoppiness of this brew. The mainpart is very intense hoppy, smooth-malty and great floral. Hints of pine, grass, fresh cut hops. Very great. The aftertaste is long, intense floral and nicely malty without much sweetness.
A very great IPA! Absolutely great balanced between hops and body! --> 14/13/15/14
