The aroma is medium to full with fresh, bushy slightly citric elements. The color is an appropriate light-medium golden with a slim white head. The remarkable thing about this beer happens after you’ve got it in your mouth. (I typically get half of my judging done before it touches my lips.) The beer is medium bodied, remarkably clean and crisp and with a resonant bitter finish.

Dryness defines this beer throughout, especially dry and crisp in the finish. Orange zest, lemon and slight hints of grapefruit add an enjoyable touch of craftmanship. Malt notes are pretty light that make this an interesting change.

Since there’s a little grade inflation going on here with Big Daddy right now, I’ll chime in as I HAVE tasted it and think it’s good, but not a 4.8. Malty, but predominately crisp and clean. Very enjoyable.

Ah. At times my best friend, others not so nice. Big Daddy can lay a whoopin on you but also tuck you into bed very nicely. Savor this beer. Great with meals, or a meal unto itself. Highly Recommended!

Really different from what I’m used to...it has all sorts of interesting flavors, kinda bitter, but overall I can see myself drinking it with a good meal.
